This is the Calamondin, or as we call it, the Mandarin Tree. The plant originates from Spain. In Spain the Calamondin is certainly not the only citrus tree.
The nice thing about the Calamondin is that you can put it outside in the summer.
The plant grows white flowers on which the fruits grow. You can eat these, although they can be a bit sour. The fruit is a cross between the mandarin and the Chinese Kumquat.
Besides direct sunlight, the mandarin tree likes to get water every week. In the summer you can even water it twice a week. We also recommend giving extra plant nutrition every five weeks from spring until the end of summer. That will make him happy!
